The learning objectives are attached for the whole unit on "Protection" but you are only focusing on Skin.

Complete Skin and Burns worksheet by using the links provided and the slideshow attached.
Goal is to the understand the Rule of Nines used to determine whether burns are considered life threatening.

Video will be played at the Zoom meeting. It cannot be accessed online.

Submit the following:
1. your responses to the questions about the video from your breakout rooms
2. reflection
3. conclusion questions

Submit your work however you choose....uploaded document, uploaded pic, Google Doc...etc.

Now that you have read chapters 1-16 in the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, how are you feeling about the story so far?
Do you feel George Gey had good intentions when taking samples of Henrietta's cells? Why or why not?
Any other thoughts about what you've read that you would like to share, please do!

Once you have submitted response, indicate that in private comment to me and submit this assignment.

Submit the following:
1. 5 career journal entries
2. diary entry (step #2) including all the professionals that would work with you throughout the recovery

You may work with others from class on this but you will submit your own work in GC.

1. Burn labels on your skin model, take pic and upload
2. PLTW journal (step #3) a, b, and c.

Read chapters 1-3 and answer questions in the student guide for those chapters (page 1 and 2)
Be sure to look up who all the people are from the back of the book and write in first part of student guide. This will be helpful as you read so you can use as a reference.

Questions have a number in parentheses to indicate the chapter that it is from.

Please be sure to have read chapters 1-3 and answered the questions in the student guide sheet for tomorrow's meeting

You have 2 hours to complete and submit your responses.

Your team will be presenting your proposal but you need to have your slideshow submitted before you present

Add DNA analysis to your case report from Activity 1.2.3. Make a copy of your original report. Re-title it "Activity 1.2.3 Case Report- FINAL results" and add the DNA analysis to the end of the report. Make any final adjustments to your conclusion and submit report. Whoever didn't submit last time will be submitting this time.

In your lab team (of 2 or 3), you will all write ONE lab report about the bones you all observed and analyzed. Please use the instructions in the activity for what to include in your report.
