PROFILE
Experience:
After graduating from Arroyo in 2000, I went on an odyssey before finding my way back home. I began teaching in the Spring of 2005 here at Arroyo before moving to Washington Manor in 2007 and then back to Arroyo in 2014. Over the course of my career, I have taught in the PE, English, and History Departments. Since 2015 I have taught Philosophy (the Arroyo course the most inspired me to become a teacher), adding AP Gov in 2019, and AP Psychology in 2022. Furthermore, since the 1995, I have been been a part of the Arroyo Track & Field team where I went from athlete to coach and now volunteer to help with meets. I continue to find ways to give back to our community from getting involved in student events like the 2025 Washington DC and New York trip where I was honored to supervise 60 San Lorenzo students on their epic journey.
In addition to my teaching, I enjoy good conversation (you'll often see me between classes starting up a discussion with anyone passing by), I am always wondering why, and I like to know how things work. As such, I am constantly taking things apart, building stuff, and talking away with colleagues and friends about current events, books, movies, songs, or games. Most importantly Eckloff is an avid fan of ice-cream at all times.
