¡Bienvenidos a la clase de Ms. Cedillos!

¡Bienvenidos Algunos! I’m so excited to be your teacher this year. A little about myself: I grew up in Oakland, California and was raised by a single mother who emigrated from El Salvador. As a first-generation college graduate, I earned my BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Mount Holyoke College and later completed two master’s degrees in Teaching and Instructional Leadership. My passion for education and social justice was shaped by my involvement in programs like Upward Bound, Puente, and Summer Search, which helped me become the socially conscious person I am today.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of leading international volunteer delegations in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, mentoring young women through Girls Inc. of Alameda County, and serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Now, as your World Language Teacher and Multilingual Teacher, I’m excited to bring my experience, energy, and love for language and culture into the classroom. I feel honored to work with you and can’t wait to help you explore your potential while celebrating the rich diversity of a multilingual world.
