Trisha Meyer

I am excited to be joining the AHS staff this year! I have taught English, ELD, and French in both high school and middle school. I love language and its structure, and I (over)analyze everything, from books to movies to 90s sitcoms. Just get me started on the significance of a character's name...

 

I am also a musician. I play several instruments and also enjoy singing - and not just in the shower!

 

My family moved (back) to the Bay Area after living in Orange County for 12 years and in Michigan for 6 years before that. Prior to our move to Michigan, we lived in San Leandro, and I taught at Edendale Middle School in the late 1990s.

 

I have two grown children who are off at college. My son is in his final year at San Jose State, and my daughter is in her first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

 

I look forward to a productive year as we navigate a new curriculum and try to keep up with all the changes in the world - AI, media literacy, social media, edtech, and more.
