PROFILE
Experience:
I began teaching in the fall of 2004 at Westlake Middle School in Oakland. After two years teaching 8th grade Algebra, in the fall of 2006, I took a job teaching math at Arroyo. I left Arroyo in 2010 and took a new teaching job at Berkeley High School. After working at Berkeley High for two years, I left to pursue my master's degree at UC Berkeley. While attending Cal, I worked tutoring student athletes as part of the Athlete Study Center. In addition to tutoring, I also supported the Athletic Operations Department supporting teams by arranging facilities, meals, travel, and sending alumni and community communications. When I finished my program, I went back to Berkeley High as an Assistant Athletic Director where I developed an academic support program targeting student athletes at the high school. After two years at Berkeley High, I decided it was time to return to Arroyo. I came back to teaching math and coaching girls' soccer in the fall of 2015. I am now the Athletic Director here as well as continuing my work teaching math and coaching the girls' soccer program.
