Welcome: Class of 2028!
Hello Class of 2028!
I am excited to be your counselor for the next 4 years. Let's work together and make your high school experience enjoyable and less stressful.
About Me:
I have been working as a school counselor in SLZUSD for 26+ years.
Education:
M.S. in Counseling Psychology (CSU East Bay), with an emphasis in Marriage Family and Child Therapy and Pupil Personnel Services Credential.
M. A in Psychology (Osmania University- India)
B. A in Psychology, English Literature and Political Science (St. Francis College for Women, India)
I take inspiration from Nelson Mandela's quote: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." I believe every student is capable of accomplishing great things in life and my job as a counselor is to assist students in realizing their potentials. I have worked with several first generation college applicants throughout my two decades of college counseling work. It has given me immense pleasure to see my students do well in life. That inspires and motivates me to be at work everyday. I also volunteer as a college consultant for a non profit organization during summers, helping immigrant parents and children in the East Bay.
I love traveling, nature walks, photography, reading books, writing poetry and spending time with my family.
