Missing Teens Found Safe and Reunited With Their Families

Oct. 21, 2024

The San Lorenzo Unified School District is very happy to report that both San Lorenzo High School sophomore Michelle Oliva Sanchez and her date for the Oct. 18 Homecoming dance at SLzHS, Elvis Merino, a sophomore from Potter Valley, Calif., were found safe about 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, and have been reunited with their families.

We do not have any additional information to share, but we are so relieved at this outcome and grateful for the concern and support of our school district community, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office and people throughout the Bay Area who expressed their concern after learning of the teens' disappearance.

Michelle and Elvis went missing when they failed to meet their respective parents after the dance as planned.
